Welcome from our Pastor and our Principal

Welcome to St. Anselm School
As principal, Kim Orendorff, and pastor, Father Gabriel Wankar, we are honored to welcome you to a school that is much more than a place of learning. We are a faith-filled Catholic community dedicated to educating students who think critically, act with integrity, and serve with compassion.
In partnership with families, we are committed to fostering each child’s intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth. Through a comprehensive and engaging academic program rooted in the principles of Catholic education, we prepare our students to lead lives of purpose, faith, and service. Everything we do flows from this mission: daily prayer and faith formation, strong academics, and a culture of kindness, responsibility, and service to others.
Our dedicated teachers are the heart of our school. They choose St. Anselm not only for its academic excellence, but because they are deeply connected to our community. Many are parishioners, alumni families, or parents of current students. They hold California teaching credentials, and many hold advanced degrees. They bring both professionalism and genuine love for children into their classrooms each day.
We are proud of our strong academic outcomes, consistently among the top in Marin County, with students averaging 83% proficiency in math and performing in the 81st percentile in reading. Just as important, our students are taught how to think critically, work collaboratively, manage their learning, and develop the habits that lead to lifelong success.
What makes St. Anselm truly special, however, is not captured in data. It is seen in the joy of our students, the strength of our community, and the way our families walk together through nine years of growth, faith, and discovery. Our students are challenged, supported, and celebrated every step of the way.
As a school with over 100 years of history, we are deeply grateful for the generations who have built this legacy. Today, we remain committed to honoring that tradition while preparing students for the future with confidence, compassion, and faith.
When you join St. Anselm School, you are not simply choosing a school; you are joining a community. Your child is known, your family is welcomed, and your faith journey is shared.
We invite you to come and experience what makes St. Anselm School such a special place.
