Everything you need to know about participating in the Festival of Fun on May 20!
The Festival of Fun is on Saturday, May 20th! Over the next few weeks we are going to be sending out information on what’s new, what you can do to help, and what you need to know to participate and make this an amazing event for the school.
What’s new this year? Find your fun!
Make room in your house again for salamis and stuffies—Festival favorites the Salami Toss and Animal Wheel will be back, along with all the other games of chance and skill (come on, it’s all skill, right?). This year, we’re adding more (yes, more!) great stuff to the lineup. We’ll have a 24’ Giant Slide inflatable (that’s two feet taller than the previous one), and—are you ready?—Human Foosball! Picture yourself strapped to a Foosball bar, running right and left with your teammates to get that ball through the defenders and into the goal. Imagine the table game; now think life-sized.
Seamore the interactive robot will be roaming the grounds talking to people, and the kids will love Buki the Clown’s balloon artistry and comedy magic show. The Bubble Buddy will make spectacular bubbles for the kids to chase, pop, and play in, and provide tubs and wands for them to make their own. For those who can’t resist a little gluttony, we’ve added a pie-eating contest this year. Signups will be the day of the Festival, so start practicing. Or maybe don’t.
All this talk making you thirsty? Lagunitas Brewing Company will be serving their IPA, Little Sumpin’, and Czech-Style Pils, to accompany the amazing Panther Café offerings, which this year will include a mac ‘n’ cheese bowl and BOTH regular and garlic curly fries. What?! PS: Those amazing Bavarian pretzels will be back.
Getting the word out—how you can help
We want the Festival to be a huge event for the school and the community. Please help us get the word out and get all your friends to come!
- Put a poster in your car or business, a magnetic decal on your car, and/or a yard sign in your front yard. (Email Jim at email@example.com and he will get the materials to you)
- Post the information on your Facebook page, Nextdoor, or other social media.
- Forward the information to friends and family. You can copy and paste this blurb:

Signing up for shifts on SignUp Genius
Each family is required to sign up for two 2-hour shifts (total of four hours) at the Festival. Signups will be by SignUp Genius again this year, and the signup will go live Tuesday, May 2 at 9:00am. The link and shift descriptions will be sent to all school families by email the day before.
As you know, beer and wine will be sold at the Festival again this year. Please remember that neither children nor alcohol are allowed in the booths at any time. Please make your shift choices and childcare arrangements accordingly. We appreciate your respect of those guidelines.
